Table bookings are reserved in our upstairs space, unless you require an accessible table. If a table downstairs is free for the size of your party upon arrival, feel free to move downstairs but please let a member of the team know.

Planning to order food?

Pre-ordering food from our menu is essential for parties of more than 4, if booking a table. A pre-ordering form will be sent with confirmation of your booking. Please bear with us if ordering during busy periods.

If food has not been preordered, you are required to order and pay at the till as normal. Food is served as and when it is ready.

Table Booking - Important Info

We are a coffee shop, not a restaurant!

Whilst we have a passion for food also here at ABDA, please remember that we are a coffee shop, not a restaurant (why we also operate our ordering at the till system instead of table service).

This means, bookings do not work for us like a typical restaurant...some customers stay for hours, some for minutes - it is very difficult for us to manage how long people are staying within our shop and we don't want to start adding limits to this. Therefore, bookings are limited to upstairs only (unless an accessible table is required) so we are able to maintain our usual flow of customers.

As a small business, reserving tables and hoping people turn up can lead to us turning away valuable revenue. Our staff always do their upmost to get you a table during busy periods, unfortunately this does just mean you sometimes have to wait - but it is always worth asking a member of the team what is available when it is busy!

Our table booking system is not limited to, but we recommend booking for special occasions and meetings only.

Access to the Upstairs Space

Please understand if booking a table within our opening hours, our customers and staff still require access to toilets and kitchens and may walk through the upstairs area frequently.

Music/Atmosphere

During opening hours, our music is a collection of acoustic local artists and is important to maintain the atmosphere for other customers - the volume of this cannot be changed at your discretion, unless arranged prior to your visit in exceptional circumstances.

Time of Booking

Your table will be reserved for 30 minutes from the time of booking. If you are running late then please ensure you let us know a minimum of 15 minutes before your booking. If you fail to arrive within this time, your table will no longer be reserved and you will lose your deposit.

Room Rental

Considering the above, if you require a completely private space, you will be required to rent the room.
